Another really unique thing I do is use the 5 Love Languages theory in all of my sessions.
Without getting into the nitty gritty of it, I have you guys take a quiz that tells you what your personal love languages are (how you like to receive love from each other) prior to the session. Before your session, I check out your results and will tailor your session with prompts that will literally (if you let them) give you giddy, stomach-butterflies! I may also give you guys lots of silly, ridiculous activities that make no coherent sense. Why do I do this? Honestly, I am looking for those sweet in-between moments like when you giggle into her, when he grasps you into a tight sloppy hug, those big gut-wrenching belly laughs and when your eyes connect with all of the feels!
Words of Affirmation: This language uses words to affirm other people.
Acts of Service: For these people, actions speak louder than words.
Receiving Gifts: For some people, what makes them feel most loved is to receive a gift.
Quality Time: This language is all about giving the other person your undivided attention.
Physical Touch: To this person, nothing speaks more deeply than appropriate touch.
