While Sara was traveling in Hawaii, she got the awesome opportunity to photograph a day-after adventure mini session with Danielle and Ryan in Oahu! Never heard of a day-after session before? Basically, the day after a couple's wedding or elopement, they get back into their wedding attire and go out to take more portraits together, usually in a completely different location from their venue. This is always the perfect opportunity to get more adventurous and candid photos, as the couple is less concerned about time constraints or getting dirty, so they're more willing to let loose and have fun!
For Danielle and Ryan's session, we headed to a grassy meadow at Kaena Point Trail where the lush and mossy mountains of Oahu towered behind us. It was already a truly EPIC backdrop, but then it started to drizzle, making the mountain all misty and moody! Personally, we love it when there's a little bit of rain during a session, because it creates such epic shots that you wouldn't otherwise have the opportunity to capture.
The second half of their session was spent down by the water on a beautiful, rocky Hawaiian beach. Both the sunset and blue hour were freakin' stunning and we LOVED how the colors turned out in their photos!
