The Location
Barnegat Light Beach, LBI NJ
Kristi and Joe started off their intimate Long Beach Island elopement day with a first look together, and with their sweet little daughter! We focused on getting cute candid family shots, but don't worry, we snuck a few posed family formal photos, or as I like to call them "mom shots"!
Next we headed over to a stunning ocean overlook spot, where Blase, of Picnic Perfect LBI, was ready to officiate Kristi and Joe's ceremony!
Following their ceremony on the beach, I brought Kristi and Joe deep into the sand dunes for some private couples portraits. The foliage and dune grasses were super vibrant, which created a stunning and colorful sandy beach backdrop for their newlywed portraits.
Deep within the dunes, the landscape literally felt like a sandy pine forest with mini mountains and all! It almost makes you forget the beach is only a short walk away.
Emily of Picnic Perfect LBI, put together this beautiful boho beach picnic for Kristi and Joe to enjoy their celebratory dinner. The Picnic Perfect LBI team are some of my FAVORITE people to work with when photographing beach elopements! Oh, and the delicious (& gorgeous) looking charcuterie board? That was made by the amazing One Board Blonde!
To finish off the evening, we spent some time chasing the sunset along the beach for one last round of newlywed portraits. The sunset that day was so dreamy and glowy!
