For Eden and Chris's autumn cliffside adventure engagement, we met up at Letchworth State Park in New York. We started their session just before sunrise at Archery Field Overlook, while it was still dark. Eden and Chris brought along their pups, Sydney & Stella, plus Melissa Nichols, of Paws Perrydise, to be their doggy sitter! As sunrise started approaching, we found a little spot farther down, off to the side of road to take photos. There were a bunch of people with tripods also at the overlook trying to capture the sunrise, which was no surprise since Letchworth is considered the east coast equivalent of the Grand Canyon, with epic cliffs and valleys. It was a very misty morning at the park, but luckily the mist lifted and we got an amazing vantage point of the cliffs!
It was so fun seeing Eden and Chris running around with their dogs and being goofy, so we wanted to keep that energy going! Next we headed down to the wooded area nearby, where Eden and Chris changed into their second outfits and popped some champagne! We took a few photos in front of one of the cabins at the park pavilion before hiking down a rocky stairwell to the Lower Falls Trail, where we explored the paths surrounding the lower part of the waterfall. The mist completely cleared up by then and it was a beautiful morning. It did end up being a little muddy, but it was actually fun navigating our way through it, like true adventurers!
Towards the end of the session, we took photos at Middle Falls Overlook, where we captured shots of Eden and Chris running along the bridge. We even snuck in a few cool, moody shots up against this awesome black stone boulder wall at the base of the canyon! This was such a fun session to photograph and Eden and Chris were the freakin' sweetest and gave Sara a few gifts, including a dog toy shaped like a taco for Reese, which she LOVES! Thank you Eden + Chris!!
